Hot Link Wednesdays: Not Quite BSOD

Ok, so it's not the Blue Screen of Death, but it's pretty hilarious anyways.

"Hi, my name is Microsoft, and I'm ready to make mission-critical software for your business."

New Version of Flock Out!

You guys remember the Flock broswer? A new version is out with lots of new features. One of my favorite features is the new blog and flickr bars. In this post I'll talk about the Blogger bar.

Here are some basic features:

Say, I want to post a picture from the web in a new blog post. All I do, is click and drag it into the shelf:

Flock then automatically opens a new tab with my post, the picture, and a link to the source of the picture in it:

Sorry about the image quality, but Blogger has a resolution limit on pics. Anyways, Flock is pretty useful in other ways, which I might post about later. For now, try it for yourself.

Hot Link Wednesdays: Not Evil

After hearing of Novell and HP joining to further their respective Linux strategies -- Wait. You know what? I was going to try to think of some clever reaction to the news, but I can't. Deal with it.

You know how I hate the RIAA?

I forgot to mention that I hate the MPAA, too. Sad.

Speaking of Digital Music

I'm really excited about Songbird. It's an iTunes killer based on Mozilla code. (Yes, that means it's extensible.)
The Differences:
  • It's open source
  • It's (more) multi-platform
  • It's compatible with multiple music stores
So, give it a look. It's in a very early stage in development but still very impressive.

Hot Link Wednesdays: Pandora

Pandora is a radio service that lets you explore music based on common themes found in music you already like. That was a confusing sentence, but just try it out.

Special Half-Week Only Link!

I just added a link to the Ben's Beard Pledge. Sign it and support Big Ben. "By your facial hairs combined, I am Captain Roethlisberger!"

(That's 51 for the layman.) Sorry for the font size on that last post. After all the celebratory (<-- real word) drinking and wild [verbs], my keyboard got really big and typed large letters. Tune in next week (or whenever I feel like it) for Post 52: The Smuggler's Wife. Have a nice night. (And if it's daytime, screw you.) (Parenthetical statements can get out of hand, you know?)

IT'S MY FIFTIETH POST!

50 is my favorite post number so far. (And yes, 50th is spelled right, don't bother dictionary.coming it. Thanks for your concern.) So....How's things? ...Not really sure what to write. Uh...

Hot Link Wednesdays: Auto Pilot

This car drives itself. Thanks, Honda.
